Grandson IT is a concept and a practice that is incredibly valuable for us octogenarians and septuagenarians who have basic computer skills but often find it challenging to address or fix both minor or more substantial tech issues. This was the case for me. One problem was an annoying and continuing issue when I opened my computer and another web site appeared that I had to remove manually, but Grandson IT simply uninstalled the shift browser, something I wouldn't have thought to do. I also had a problem with the conversion of a scanned document to word rather than to a PdF, which Grandson IT fixed by changing the default application. A printer problem involving the connection between the computer and the printer was also addressed. Grandson IT was quick, explained each issue clearly, is very personable, and a pleasure to be with and have his help. -Bob

Daniel Fernandez is my tech consultant. He runs Grandson IT. We work together in home sessions.We have been working together since November 2024. He is invaluable to me. He is assisting me in every day tech support such as hosting zoom meeting, sending complicated messages and allowing me to access digital accounts. We have now moved on to creating a password manager. He also assisted me in finding and forwarding tax document necessary for my accountant to file my 2024 return. I asked Grandson IT to help me solve a number of issues, including computer-related storage issues. I had been reluctant to deal with a message alerting me that my cloud storage was dangerously close to being full. I could not understand why this was the case, since I already paid for cloud storage and my computer had considerable storage space. I even wondered if the message was a scam of some sort. Grandson IT checked out my whole storage situation, explained the various kinds of storage, and advised me on multiple options for addressing the storage shortage suggested by the message (not a scam). I am very relieved and grateful to have successfully addressed this problem with the help of Grandson IT. I should add that, following our session, Grandson IT sent me a written recap that clearly recounted the information and options he had provided and offered some further suggestions for other issues I had raised, based on research he had conducted after our session.
